What shipped, and who asked for it.

DealerCockpit is in beta and it moves every week. Each change names the seat that asked for it, never the person. We build what several people keep asking for and what removes retyping. Some asks we decline, and we say why.

Where things stand

No dates, because several of these depend on other companies.

  • Financial statement and appointment figures from your DMS

    Waiting on the DMS provider

We are asking the DMS provider whether these can be read through the API. See the integrations page.

  • Showing draft vehicles from your DMS

    Not planned

A car stocked in as a draft has no cost yet and cannot be billed or delivered, so listing it would put cars on the boards that nobody can sell.

  • Writing anything back to your DMS

    Not planned

By design. Your DMS stays the record, and DealerCockpit only reads from it.

September 2026

  • Recon gets an Offsite and Needs Sublet column

Work that goes outside the shop now has its own place on the recon board, with where the car is and how long it has been out.

Asked for by The used-car manager

  • Goals you can set per store

The numbers that turn a screen amber or red are settings a manager can change instead of fixed values.

Asked for by A store leader

  • A support agent inside the help button

Ask Goose why a stock number or VIN is blocking a deal and it checks, explains the real reason, and points at the button that fixes it. It never presses the button for you.

  • Key check-out and lot sections

One click records who has a car's key and alerts the people who need to know. Each store lists its own lot sections, so "where is it" has an answer on the vehicle card.

  • Reduced pricing works itself out

A flag appears on a used car by a rule your store sets, so nobody re-flags cars by hand when the rule changes.

Asked for by The used-car manager

  • Open repair orders matched to cars overnight

Where a store has a DMS connection, a recon card with an open repair order is filled in with the RO number, who wrote it and who has it. Without a connection the number is typed once.

Asked for by The service manager

  • Email codes as a second sign-in step

Anyone can turn on a one-time code sent to their email when they sign in. It is optional per person and needs no authenticator app.

Asked for by A store leader

  • "Received" at detail

The trip from the shop to detail is recorded step by step with times, so the delivery team can see which cars are physically at detail without asking in a group chat.

Asked for by The detail crew

  • Sign-in links by email

New people get a sign-in link by email instead of a temporary password handed across the desk, and anyone can ask for one from the login page.

Asked for by A store leader

  • Placing a loaner sends it to the wrap shop

Adding a car to the loaner program can raise the job for the rental logo and wrap in the same step, and the loaner log shows where the wrap stands.

Asked for by The loaner and fleet desk

  • Your close date decides the month

The month-end typed on the executive recap now carries through the deal log, the recaps and the exports, so a deal delivered on the last day lands where the recap says it does.

Asked for by A store leader

  • A delivered deal can now be marked dead

A mistyped or duplicate deal that had already been marked delivered could not be killed, so it counted toward the store forever. It can be killed, and it stops counting.

Asked for by A store leader

  • The DMS never overwrites a trade's odometer reading

The reading the title clerk types stays. A figure from the DMS can fill a blank one but never replace one a person entered, because that number goes on the title.

Asked for by The title clerk

August 2026

  • A turn clock on every used car

Each used car shows how much of your store's allowed time it has used, from fresh to past turn, with one-click lists of what needs attention.

Asked for by The used-car desk

  • Missing paperwork sales can see

Accounting ticks what is missing on a deal and adds a note on each item. The salesperson sees it on their own screen with the name of who to bring it to.

Asked for by Accounting, with the sales floor

  • Per-delivery incentives for Commercial and Fleet

Whether a delivery qualified for the manufacturer's incentive, and for how much, is entered on the delivery. The recap adds them up and shows your typed total beside the sum.

Asked for by The Commercial and Fleet office

  • An executive recap that matches the GM's workbook

The recap was checked against the GM's own August workbook cell by cell, and that check runs as an automated test.

    Asked for by The GM

Try it in the beta.

DealerCockpit is in beta and we are looking for dealerships to try it as new features arrive. Not everything works as well as we plan yet.
